New: a skill and MCP for agents

Agentic open-source
audio framework.

Write the DSP once in C++ and ship it as CLAP, VST3, Audio Unit, LV2 and a standalone app. A skill and an MCP server give Claude Code, Codex and Cursor the real API, so your agent stops guessing.

Features

Everything a plugin needs.

And nothing it doesn't: no framework runtime, nothing to install, and our own code from the DSP to the format wrappers.

Every plugin format

CLAP, VST3, Audio Units and LV2 from a single compile, plus a standalone app with its own audio.

Every desktop, and the browser

The same DSP also compiles to WebAssembly, so a live preview is the shipped plugin, not a model of it.

Fits your build

CMake helpers do the bundling. Build it in your tree, or find_package an installed SDK.

DSP from the papers

Compressors, circuit-solved drives, tape, reverbs and metering, written from the published maths.

Native or web UI

A software-rasterised editor with no browser process, or your own HTML in the OS webview.

Instruments, MIDI and MPE

Notes in, MIDI out and per-note expression. The process signature you write decides which; there is no flag to set.

Install the skill and the MCP

Pick your agent. Every block copies in one click.

Terminal
# the SDK, which the MCP server reads
git clone https://github.com/SonorieAI/sonore-sdk "$HOME/sonore-sdk"
# the skill
npx skills add SonorieAI/sonore-sdk --skill sonore-sdk -a codex -g
# the MCP server
codex mcp add sonore-sdk -- node "$HOME/sonore-sdk/scripts/mcp-server.mjs"

The Codex CLI, the IDE extension and the ChatGPT desktop app share this setup.

Terminal
# the SDK, which the MCP server reads
git clone https://github.com/SonorieAI/sonore-sdk "$HOME/sonore-sdk"
# the skill
npx skills add SonorieAI/sonore-sdk --skill sonore-sdk -a claude-code -g
# the MCP server
claude mcp add --scope user sonore-sdk -- node "$HOME/sonore-sdk/scripts/mcp-server.mjs"

Run it once; every project on this machine gets the skill and the MCP.

Terminal
# the SDK, which the MCP server reads
git clone https://github.com/SonorieAI/sonore-sdk "$HOME/sonore-sdk"
# the skill
npx skills add SonorieAI/sonore-sdk --skill sonore-sdk -a cursor -g
~/.cursor/mcp.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sonore-sdk": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["/path/to/sonore-sdk/scripts/mcp-server.mjs"]
    }
  }
}

Cursor adds servers from its config file: merge this in with the path to your clone, then restart Cursor.

Terminal
# the SDK, which the MCP server reads
git clone https://github.com/SonorieAI/sonore-sdk "$HOME/sonore-sdk"
# the skill
npx skills add SonorieAI/sonore-sdk --skill sonore-sdk -a antigravity -g
~/.gemini/config/mcp_config.json
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sonore-sdk": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["/path/to/sonore-sdk/scripts/mcp-server.mjs"]
    }
  }
}

Or open … › MCP Servers › Manage MCP Servers › View raw config in the agent panel, and paste it there.

Terminal
# the SDK, which the MCP server reads
git clone https://github.com/SonorieAI/sonore-sdk "$HOME/sonore-sdk"
# the skill
npx skills add SonorieAI/sonore-sdk --skill sonore-sdk -g
Your client's MCP config
{
  "mcpServers": {
    "sonore-sdk": {
      "command": "node",
      "args": ["/path/to/sonore-sdk/scripts/mcp-server.mjs"]
    }
  }
}

The skills CLI asks which of your agents to install into. Most MCP clients take this JSON; without the CLI, copy skills/sonore-sdk into your agent's skills folder.
